Vernon Jackson, 21, 838D Mayflower, was charged with fourth-degree theft and failing to appear in court on another charge.

The Iowa City City Council on Tuesday night gave the go-ahead to a proposed Benton Street skywalk, which will connect the Johnson County Administration Building with a county building under construction.
Jeff Davidson, the Johnson County Council of Governments administrator, presented computer-animated images of what the skywalk will look like when finished at the request of the council.
