Former Michigan receivers coach Erik Campbell will take over the same position at Iowa, according to the Detroit News.
Campbell, a former Wolverine player who spent 13 years under Lloyd Carr, was fired on Dec. 20 by Rich Rodriguez.
"[Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz is] a good person to work for," Campbell told the Detroit News. "And there are great people on the staff."
Iowa's running-back coach Carl Jackson retired on Monday, creating an opening on the staff. Hawkeye receivers coach Lester Erb is expected to move to running backs.
Ferentz could not be reached for comment but said Monday he expected to move quickly to replace Jackson.
