A "gun" that detects methamphetamine is expected to become another tool to bust drug labs, and Iowa City police Sgt. Troy Kelsay said its purported benefits have "some promise," despite legal concerns.

A recent study counters what many consider conventional wisdom: If a person is overweight, he or she has a greater risk of dying younger.
