Editorial: Stubborn Iowa loses straw poll

GOP Chairman Jeff Kaufmann stated the official reason was because of the lack of candidates interested in participating in the Straw Poll. It's seemingly easy to write off the symbolic gesture of it, but there may be some hints as to why so much weight has been placed on the poll since 1979.

Thus, she began associating herself with the feminine image and pronouns that go hand in hand with the female gender. Bill Gates argues that a college degree is the way to go. In a recent blog post, he wrote, "Although I dropped out of college and got lucky pursuing a career in software, getting a degree is a much surer path to success." In a period marked by the recession of 2008, many have grown skeptical of such a statement.
