Linn County women accused of stealing alcohol

Authorities have accused a Cedar Rapids woman and a Marion woman of stealing alcohol.

Shanise Williams, 22, and Veronique Harmon, 21, were charged with second-degree theft on April 23.

According to online court documents, Williams and Harmon were in a Coralville Hy-Vee store on April 14 and April 23. On both dates, the women allegedly grabbed numerous bottles of Ciroc and 1800 Tequila and walked out of the store without paying.

Video surveillance reportedly shows Williams and Harmon taking the bottles.

The amount of liquor taken on the two dates cost $1,063.28.

Second-degree theft is a Class-D felony.


Tiffin man accused of 3rd OWI

Authorities have accused a Tiffin man of driving while intoxicated.

Ryan Yoder, 32, was charged with third-offense OWI on Tuesday.

According to online court documents, an officer stopped Yoder in Coralville.

The officer reportedly noticed Yoder smelled of alcohol, had unsteady balance, and was sweating. 

Yoder refused the DataMaster test. 

Third-offense OWI is a Class-D felony.
