Authorities have accused a man of vandalizing a store.

Tyrelle Harris, 20, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and domestic-abuse assault impeding air/blood flow on Monday.

According to online court documents, officers responded to a convenience store after receiving a report of a male and female fighting in the store.

The female walked into the store crying and asked to use the phone. Soon after, Harris entered the store and reportedly began verbally fighting with the woman.

The clerk said he was going to call the police, which angered Harris.

Harris allegedly began trashing the store by slamming a glass case on the floor, pushing items off counters, and turning over shelves.

He reportedly caused more than $1,000 in damage.

The woman later reported she had been at Harris’ home, and he refused to let her leave when she wanted to. He pushed her to the ground and choked her.

The victim is 17 years old and pregnant with Harris’ child.

Second-degree criminal mischief and domestic-abuse assault impeding air/blood flow are both Class-D felonies.
