According to an email sent by University of Iowa President Sally Mason, the Transparent Inclusive Efficiency Review project continues on campus.

Both Huron Consulting and Chazey Partners will work with the UI in assisting IT, Human Resources, and Finance to put proposed efficiency measures in place.

On Wednesday, employees in Human Resources and Finance will add their input to move TIER forward.

On Feb. 13, the state Board of Regents announced the retaining of Pappas Consulting to improve time to graduation and distance education. Pappas will work with Provost P. Barry Butler to coordinate campus engagement with the consulting firm.

Mason wrote in the email that TIER is important to the UI “to transform our university so it is sustainable for the long term while remaining true to our core academic missions of education, research, and service as well as learning, discovery, and engagement.”

Overall, the efficiency study is expected to save tens of millions of dollars over the next few years at the three regent universities.
