Iowa is back in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America poll at No. 20 after falling out in the Nov. 13 edition of the weekly poll.

The rankings are based on performances at dual meets and invitationals since the previous poll, so Iowa’s victory over Notre Dame likely played a major part in the Hawkeyes re-emergence in the poll.

Michigan (6), Ohio State (9), Indiana (13), Wisconsin (14), and Minnesota (23) are the other Big Ten men’s teams ranked in the top 25.

Texas took over the No. 1 spot after ranking seventh in the Nov. 27 poll. California, Georgia, Florida, and Louisville round out the top five.

The poll is not designed to predict who will win the NCAA title but rather to predict the winner of a head-to-head matchups between teams ranked in the poll.
