Editorial: Continue minimum wage conversation

The state of Iowa has a minimum wage lower than many states, at $7.25 per hour. There needs to be a conversation among state lawmakers addressing this, weighing out the pros and cons of raising it.

Lane: Time for football to change

I've struggled to make a decision about what must, or better yet even can, be done to decrease the pervasiveness of concussions in sports—specifically football. I thought something had to be done, but I didn't want the game to change. The death of Kosta Karageorge, however, may have changed that for me.

The issue isn't anymore getting the fruits and vegetables to the students, but now to get the students to eat what is in front of them. According to the Harvard School of Public Health, 60% of vegetables and 40% of fruit are being thrown away off of trays. Hundreds of dollars are being tossed away with little care.
