Hawkeyes dominate singles play at Drake

The Iowa women’s tennis team finished its fall schedule at the Drake Jamboree this past weekend.

The Hawkeyes had a great deal of success, finishing with a resounding 26-6 record overall while going 8-0 on the final day of the tournament.

Aimee Tarun ended the weekend 4-0 in singles. Tarun and doubles partner Katie Zordani finished with a record of 3-1; the senior/sophomore duo defeated Kansas State, 8-5, on Sunday to round out the weekend.

Annette Dohanics and Anastasia Reimchen came together to form an undefeated senior/freshman doubles team, ending with a record of 4-0. On the final day of the tournament, the duo won a close match against Kansas State, 8-7,  to secure their perfect finish.

Reimchen, Dohanics, Zordani, and Montana Crawford only posted one loss each in singles play for the tournament, all finishing 3-1.
