UI's Theatre explores infomercials

The color grey currently dominates Theatre B in the University of Iowa Theatre Building with just one region of color: "infomercial world," where viewers are beckoned to buy the latest thing. This set will house the UI Theatre Gallery Series production Order Now, premiering tonight at 8 p.m.

Riverside Theater will begin performances of David Lindsay-Abaire's Kimberly Akimbo at 7:30 p.m. Friday, telling the story of a 16-year-old girl who ages 4.5 times as fast as normal, making physically a senior citizen.


Spotlight on Indian dance

This Saturday, in an exploration of four types of Indian dance, the Indian Student Alliance will be hosting the seventh annual Garba, Raas, Bhanga, Bollywood Festival. The event will take place in the Second Floor Ballroom of the Iowa Memorial Union from 8 to 10 p.m.


IMU to host 10th-annual Drag Ball

Review: The Evil Within

The Evil Within may very well be the return of mainstream horror games. Directed by Resident Evil's own Shinji Mikami, the game places square-jawed hero Detective Sebastian Castellanos in the middle of a mysterious hospital massacre that quickly takes an otherworldly turn.


Drink of the Week: Dirty Blonde Chocolate Ale

This micro-craft beer, brewed at the Great River Brewery in the Quad Cities, is a bit off the beaten path. It's one of those curiosities you find in the corner freezer at the Bread Garden Market. That said, it's pretty good.
