In conjunction with the Wedge closing its downtown location, May’s Café will also close its doors.

May’s Café manager Allison Cramer confirmed Monday that the popular café would soon leave the Pedestrian Mall in addition to the Wedge.

“We are waiting until we have all the paperwork in hand to issue any media statement,” Cramer said in an email.

The future of the space is uncertain.

The Wedge has occupied its spot in the Pedestrian Mall since 2008, when Capanna Coffee & Gelato sublet the Wedge half of its space. When Capanna was evicted in April 2013, the Wedge took over the entire space and continued selling coffee and ice-cream with May’s Café.
