Man charged with forgery

Authorities have charged a Coralville man with forging a check for more than $600.

Gregory Anderson, 32, was charged June 10 with forgery.

According to online court documents, on June 11, authorities received a report from a female about an unauthorized bank transaction.

She said a check was cashed from her account for $620.

On June 10, Anderson was reportedly observed on a surveillance video cashing the check at Veridian Credit Union. The cash was made out to himself.

Anderson presented the bank teller his driver’s license. He received $620 from the bank teller.
Forgery is a Class-D felony.
