A Swisher, Iowa, man has been accused of possessing 48 grams of marijuana in his car.

Jacob Hargrafen, 33, was charged Nov. 28 with possession/delivery of marijuana.

According to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office complaint, Hargrafen was parked in a still running car in the Hawkeye Wildlife area.

A deputy made contact with him at his vehicle, where he was reportedly found to smell like marijuana. Hargrafen had a marijuana shake in plain view on the passenger seat and admitted to having a partial joint with him, which he gave to the deputy.

During a search of the vehicle, officials reportedly found two glass jars in the glove box containing about 48 grams of marijuana. There was also marijuana spilled on the floor, a grinder with marijuana, one-hitter glass pipe, and rolling papers.

Hargrafen allegedly admitted under MIranda he parked “to roll joints” that he planned to take to a party in North Liberty.

The green leafy substance found in the vehicle tested positive for marijuana.

Possession/delivery of marijuana is a Class-D felony.
