Iowa City man charged with controlled-substance violation

An Iowa City man allegedly sold marijuana to an undercover officer.

Brandon Pittman, 26, was charged Feb. 14 with a controlled-substance violation.

According to a Coralville police complaint, an undercover officer with the Drug Task Force made contact with Pittman and arranged for the purchase of one ounce of marijuana.

Pittman and the undercover cop drove to a residence together, where Pittman provided the undercover cop with one ounce of marijuana in exchange for $450.

A controlled-substance violation is a Class-D felony.
