An Iowa City man has been accused of stealing a credit card and using it to purchase items at Walmart.

Corey Rhodes, 21, was charged in October with unauthorized use of credit card exceeding $10,000.

According to an Iowa City police complaint, Rhodes took the victim’s credit card and used it at various businesses throughout Iowa City.

There were more than $10,000 in unauthorized charges on the victim’s card. Rhodes reportedly admitted to using the card and stated he did not have a job or money at the time.

Rhodes said he took the card from the victim’s residence while living with the victim.

Unauthorized use of credit card exceeding $10,000 is a Class-D felony.
