Iowa women’s tennis doubles team members Ruth Seaborne and Morven McCulloch lost in the second round of the qualifying doubles bracket at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships on Wednesday.

Texas’ doubles team Breaunna Addison and Pippa Horn defeated McCulloch and Morven (8-6) in a match that lasted close to two hours.

“Morven and Ruth competed well today; just came up a little short,” head coach Katie Dougherty said in a release.  “The match came down to one break. They’ve played better each match this fall and continue to improve.”

The doubles team will compete at the Regional Championships in Norman, Okla., beginning Oct. 17.
