A Coralville man has been accused of assaulting an employee at a local establishment.

Seth Woody, 28, was charged on Sunday with assault causing bodily injury.

According to a Johnson County sheriff’s complaint, Woody entered the establishment and refused to pay the cover charge. An employee told him to leave before he called the cops and in return Woody allegedly repeatedly punched the employee and ripped his clothing. The employee sustained an abrasion near his shoulder and had pain in his side and knee. Woody allegedly left the scene after the assault.

Assault causing bodily injury is a serious misdemeanor.
