Editorial: Wrestling reinstated, but must adapt

The International Olympic Committee voted yesterday to reinstate wrestling to the 2020 summer games to be held in Tokyo, several months after they nearly undid millennia of athletic history by suggesting its removal from the Olympic program.

The battle over the future of Internet entrepreneurship is heading to federal court this week. The case in question is Verizon v FCC, which pits the telecommunications giant Verizon against the Federal Communication Commission, the government's longtime regulator of the telecommunications sector. At issue is the question of 'net neutrality' - can Verizon sell its Internet bandwidth to the highest bidder?


Guest opinion: U.S. must act in Syria

This week, Congress is expected to vote on a measure to authorize President Obama to launch an attack on Syria, in response to the use of deadly Sarin gas in Syria's two-year civil war. Strong opposition to the attack is emanating from both edges of the political spectrum. While this authorization is the right thing to do, the issue is nevertheless complex, and requires a degree of clarity and nuance that seems to be missing from our national discourse.
