A Columbus Junction woman was charged after allegedly spending stolen money.

Luranda Clark, 22, was charged on July 26 with second-degree theft.

According to a police complaint, Clark and two codefendants spent money at Johnson county businesses on Jan. 2 that had allegedly been stolen by the codefendants. Clark told law enforcement that she knew the money had been stolen before spending it but that she was not with the codefendants when it was stolen, the complaint said. She was found with several items in her possession that had been bought with the stolen money. The items were turned over to law enforcement officers on Jan. 8.

Second-degree theft is a Class-D felony.
