A man has been charged after he allegedly stole a mountain bike on Clinton Street.

William Miller, 35, address unknown, was charged with third-degree theft on May 22 in connection with the theft of a white, black, and orange 26-inch Trek Utopia mountain bike.

The bicycle, according to an Iowa City police complaint, was parked outside 335 S. Clinton St. for one minute and was left unlocked.

Video surveillance from Money & More, 1025 E. Riverside Drive, showed Miller claiming the bike was his, the complaint said. The bike’sowner later saw Miller riding the bicycle downtown.
