Re: A victory for gay rights

I am delighted the Defense of Marriage Act has been repealed.

Although I happen to be heterosexual, I intend to march in the next Gay Pride Parade in support of the people who have been so hated, reviled, murdered, and discriminated against.

My 96-year-old mother still believes her brother is homosexual because her mother spoiled him too much. Nothing I can say will change her mind.

For those people who believe that every act should be dictated by the Bible, may I remind them that there is a passage in the Bible that says, “Judge not, lest you be judged.” It would be nice if they would spend more time monitoring their own behavior rather than judging and meddling in other people’s lives.
