A Cedar Rapids woman has been accused of possessing more than 100 grams of marijuana in her vehicle.

Megan Costello, 23, was charged May 10 with five charges of controlled-substance violation, possession of a controlled substance in a structure or vehicle, prohibited acts of obtaining/attempting to attain prescription drugs, and two charges of possession/distribution of a taxable substance without a tax stamp.

According to an Iowa City police complaint, officials stopped Costello’s vehicle and reportedly found that the registered owner of the vehicle had a revoked driver’s license.

Costello was driving and matched the description of the registered owner, the complaint said. When officials made contact with Costello, officials allegedly noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the car.

Officials searched Costello’s vehicle and located over 100 grams of marijuana, more than 30 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of heroin, 17 “hits” of LSD, and several different prescription medications, the complaint said.

According to the complaint, officials also located packaging materials and a digital scale. No tax stamps were affixed to the cocaine or marijuana, the complaint said.
