The Iowa men’s track and field team earned second place for the second week in a row, this time at the Lee Calhoun Invitational in Macomb, Ill., on April 13. The team finished with 170.5 points.

Seniors Jordan Mullen and Ethan Holmes earned fourth and sixth place in the 100-meter dash with times of 10.99 and 11.1 seconds, respectively. The 1,600-meter relay team of sophomore Kaleb VanCleave, freshman Neil Flattery, and seniors Keaton Rickels and Ryan Weir earned second place at 3:14.16, and Flattery earned fourth in the 800 meters with his time of 1:53.56, a personal best.

The team also recorded numerous first-place finishes. Holmes earned first in the 200 meters with a time of 21.67. Freshman Klyvens Delaunay earned first place in the triple jump at 48-8, and sophomore Gabe Hull took first place in the shot put with a mark of 54-3¾.

“I think we had a lot of solid performances,” head coach Larry Wieczorek said in a release. “It was a step forward for both the men and women. I think this meet definitely prepared us well for the Musco Twilight next weekend."
