BEST OF: Know Your Ledge Author:

• I can count cards. Usually, there are 52. Unless I miss one.

• I had an appendectomy when I was 12. Ever since, I've been at a loss for a place to store my supplementary tables, charts, and pie graphs.

• About a week ago, I read that day's "Garfield" in a newspaper somebody left on the bus, and it made me giggle. I haven't slept well since.

• When I was 2 years old, my father left my mother to pursue his dream of becoming a mime. We never heard from him again.

• My biggest fear is that I'll be making love to my wife and hear her, eyes closed, softly whisper another man's name, causing me to doubt myself and lose all faith in true love, subsequently leading to my slow, lonely death. That, and mice.

• I was hospitalized for a brief period in the early '80s due to my physical dependency on amniotic fluid. It took about a day to get me clean, but I haven't touched the stuff since.

• I keep a treadmill in the house for when I get stressed or angry; whenever I need to blow off some steam, I just kick the treadmill until I feel better.

• If it were legal and FDA-mediated, I'd probably try cannibalism.

Andrew R. Juhl thanks Matt G, Matt L, Zach, Erik, Mycah, Becca, Jayne, LTD, and Brian for all of their help and patience in the past.
