Mason's comments shameful

The Daily Iowan Editorial Board finds Mason's most recent comments particularly disturbing, further exemplifying the opacity of an administration that seems to prioritize its own reputation over the welfare of its students.

Bianchini: Plan A before Plan B

Kudos for having a backup plan, but what the AAP should really be doing is endorsing a higher stress on prevention and safe sex plans before endorsing any kind of backup methods.

Ponnada: Fire with fire

The rest of us can't keep writing off bullying behavior as something silly that students should expect as a part of their school life. Kids who are bullied can be negatively affected in so many different ways.

Bertz: Concerns about UI priorities

I urge the UI administration not to dismantle the UICHR and its programs, and instead support the Center as a signal reminder of why the University of Iowa is an exceptional institution of higher education.
