Residents of Johnson County are able to begin early in-person voting at two locations today. Voters can submit early ballots at the Johnson County Auditor’s Office from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Iowa City Public Library from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Approximately 9,030 early ballot requests have been sent in so far by mail since the beginning of August. Among the last three presidential elections, the early voting requests trail only the 9,804 requests in 2004. The University of Iowa College Democrats and Republicans prepared for the occasion by making calls at their respective victory offices last night.
