ARIES (March 21-April 19): Don't jump aimlessly into something. Check out the consequences and other possibilities that may bring you a higher return. Take good care of your general health and well-being, and avoid anyone who could make you feel stressed.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Don't give in to temptation. You'll be easily enticed to overdo it mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially. Don't overreact when a simple response is all that's required. Staying calm will invite favors and assistance.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): There will be a lot of falsified information and misleading data pertinent to a decision you make. Think twice before you buy into what someone tells you. Focus more on accomplishments, self-improvement, love, and romance.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): Do your best to help others, and you will get something in return. Try something unique, or take a course that will broaden your knowledge in a topic of interest. A partnership will bring you greater opportunity to apply your skills.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Overspending must be kept in check. Too much of anything will lead to loss. Pour your heart into working and getting ahead to avoid an impulsive act with potential to become time-consuming and impractical.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Take on a challenge or jump into the spotlight, and you will impress the people you encounter along the way. Networking will pay off if you combine practicality with originality. Say what's on your mind, and prepare to expand your horizons.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Concentrate on what's required to make your home environment happier. Build your assets by making the right moves and taking advantage of incentives being offered. A change will help you revive a relationship with someone you love.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Rethink past relationships, and consider the people with whom you wish to reconnect. Attending a reunion or setting up an event that will allow you to relive a fond memory will do you good. A partnership with someone will heighten your awareness.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Tread carefully when dealing with friends, colleagues, or neighbors. You must communicate precisely if you don't want to be blamed for being misleading. Love is on the rise, but changes must be made before you make a move.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Tell it like it is. You have to be blatantly honest if you want to make your point heard. Opportunity to improve your assets and diminish your liabilities is apparent. Work toward the agreement that will bring you the highest return.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): A change of scenery will do you good, but taking a walk down memory lane will also help you put your life back in perspective. Don't take on too much or overdo it when simplicity and moderation will bring the most for the least.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): You must recognize that you are in control in order to take advantage of your position. Express your thoughts and plans explicitly, and you will get a fair assessment of your situation and whom you can count on to help you reach your goals.

11 Signs Business is Lagging at the Multiplex:

• Instead of the latest summer blockbuster, which it can't afford to book, it's screening a donated copy of *The Passion of the Christ* — all times, all theaters. Take it or leave it, bucko.

• No arcade games with which to kill time before the show, just a "Guess Your Own Weight" booth.

• Soda fountain is in a state of persistent disrepair. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own sugary drinks to dump on the theater floors.

• The expensive stadium-style seating has been replaced by wooden bleachers.

• Instead of a polite reminder to turn off cell phones, violators are issued citations by a "distraction constable," payable by cash, check, or credit at the box office.

• Significantly decreased fighting with strangers over access to the armrest, significantly increased fighting with hoodlums over access to your wallet.

• The 3-D effects and surround-sound consist of two guys with megaphones making explosion sounds and throwing debris at the audience during action sequences.

• You won't have to worry about other moviegoers talking during the show. But keep an eye out for the scavenging raccoons.

• Suspicious-looking bin near exit for "unused popcorn."

• The restroom sign and the exit sign indicate the same door.

• Tickets and concessions are decidedly overpriced.

Will Hartman, who works at the Bijou, can remember a time when the picture show used to cost a nickel.
