Delvis, along with the Whines, will bring its fun and carefree vibe to the Blue Moose, 211 Iowa Ave., at 9 p.m. today. Admission is $6.

Performing for only its second time in Iowa City, the three-piece band from Iowa has a raw, rock ’n’ roll style that helps to portray the fun times the band likes to have while on stage. Even though the members of Delvis mainly create music as a side job, they also consider it to be a great tool for creative expression.

Being a fairly new band to the music scene, Delvis will play a couple of original songs while at the Blue Moose and will also play Elvis Presley covers.

The combination of lead singer Daniela Caffrey’s name and her favorite musician (Presley) that sparked the idea for the name for the band. Caffrey, along with husband Andy Caffrey and close friend Mike Martinez, said the members are excited about playing new material and showing Iowa City what the band is all about.
