Four women arrested for prostitution in Coralville

Police have charged four women in Coralville with prostitution.

Stephanie South, 27, Silvis, Ill., Erica Kauer, 19, Silvis, Ill., Rachel Foster, 20, Peoria, Ill., and Amanda Garren, 18, Wilton, Iowa, were charged April 14.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the Baymont Inn, 200 Sixth St., after receiving reports of suspicious activity.

When confronted by police, the report said the women admitted they had rented a hotel room with the intent to meet men and perform sex acts on them for money.

The report said the women posted online ads to meet people.

Prostitution is an aggravated misdemeanor, punishable by up to two years in prison and a maximum fine of $6,250.
