Deputies arrested a Michigan man after they allegedly located marijuana in his car during a traffic stop.

Travis Lowe, 25, was charged Tuesday with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver.

According to a complaint from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped Lowe at the 245-mile marker on Interstate 80 for speeding in a construction zone and having a light out over his license plate.

After issuing warnings, the deputy said he smelled marijuana, asked Lowe if he had any in the car, and Lowe handed him a small jar of it.

Deputies later allegedly located 82.6 grams of marijuana in the rear of Lowe’s truck.

The report said Lowe “took full responsibility” for the marijuana and said it belonged to him after being informed of his Miranda rights.

Possession with intent to deliver is a Class D felony, punishable by up to five years in prison and a $7,500 fine.
