Three young men reportedly assaulted a man working in MacLean Hall on Monday, according to a university press release.

University of Iowa police received a call at about 2:45 p.m. Monday from a man who said the three suspects looked around his office, asked for his cell phone, and then began assaulting him before fleeing.

The alleged victim suffered minor injuries, according to the release.

Police said the suspects are young black males between 5-10 and 6-feet and two were wearing hats and seemed to be clean shaven. They were wearing hooded sweatshirts and baggy pants; their clothing was possibly a combination of black, red, and/or white.

UIpolice officials said they did not have any other information on the alleged assault on Monday evening.
