Bell’s Consecrator Doppelbock is a once-a-year release in coordination with Mardis Gras. But this year it came a little late.

The malt-driven beer contains 8 percent alcohol. It is good to drink around this time of year in the early spring, when it is not that cold and not very warm outside. Its slight nutty flavor matches well with a hardy meal such as lamb, pork, or beef.
