Police arrested a local woman last week after her young children wandered outside when she allegedly left them home alone.

Kimberly Moore, 30, 2650 Roberts Road Apt. 2C, was charged Feb. 25 with child endangerment.

According to a police report, Moore left her apartment at approximately 8:10 p.m. to walk to Kum & Go, leaving her 3-year-old and 11⁄2-year-old daughters sleeping alone in the apartment.

While Moore was gone, the report said the two children walked out of the apartment into the common hallway and outside in 20-degree temperatures.

Police said the 3-year-old was dressed only in her underpants, and the 11⁄2-year-old was naked. Both were reportedly outside for some time before they were found and taken to the Neighborhood Center.

Moore admitted being gone for 15 minutes; it was an additional 10 minutes before she found the girls at the Neighborhood Center.
