The Iowa field-hockey team was honored with a 2010 Gladiator Division-I National Academic Team award Tuesday. Insitutions that achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or better during the first semester of the 2010-11 academic year are recognized.

“Our student-athletes take their academics very seriously,” Iowa head coach Tracey Griesbaum said in a release. “We strive to be the best we can be in the classroom and on the playing field. Every semester we have team GPA goals, and this past fall semester, we were able to far surpass our goal. We look forward to continued success with our academic performance.”
