Deputies arrested a local man Sunday after he allegedly threatened his sister with a knife.

Luis Deleon, 20, 515 Elkhorn Trail, was charged Sunday with going armed with intent and domestic assault while displaying a weapon, according to a complaint from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

The document said a deputy was called to the residence to follow up on a report of a woman arguing with her brother.

The woman told police her brother had become angry with her because he was locked out of the house and had to wait outside until she got home, the report said.

The woman told police the argument continued after they entered the residence, and Deleon took a knife out of the kitchen and allegedly pushed his sister up against the wall holding the tip of the knife to her face.

Officials said Deleon admitted to holding a knife to his sister’s face.

Going armed with intent is a Class D felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $7,500. Domestic assault while displaying a weapon is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison and a maximum fine of $6,250.
