Ex-dean Jones requests documents from UI be open

Phillip Jones, the former University of Iowa vice president for Student Services, has filed a motion to aquire privilaged documents relevant to his wrongful-termination case.

In June of 2009, Jones filed a lawsuit naming the UI, UI President Sally Mason, and the state Board of Regents as defendents after he was fired following an investigations into an assault in Hillcrest.

Jones’ attorney, David Dutton, said the documents are required to complete discovery in the case.
