The University of Iowa Campus Activities Board has slotted comic Arvin Mitchell to perform at 10 p.m. in the Englert Theatre, 221 E. Washington St. Admission is free.

The standup comedian is well-known for his impressions, and he has a clean comedic style, which has earned him fans from both young and old.

The hype behind Mitchell’s name began in 2003 after a hilarious run on BET’s reality show “Coming to the Stage,” on which he was the season’s runner-up.

Mitchell has gone on to work with corporate engagements, college circuits, and leading roles in gospel theater, such as A House Divided and If they Only Knew.
