Several runners on the Iowa men’s track and field team posted record times this past weekend at the Jack Johnson Classic in Minneapolis.

Eight Hawkeyes won a total of six events.

Sophomore Jordan Mullen broke a 14-year-old school record with a time of 7.75 in the 60-meter hurdles, 0.03 better than the previous mark set by Dion Trowers in 1997.

Sprinter Justin Austin placed first in 60- and 200-meter dash. The junior finished with times of 6.72 and 21.39, both of which broke meet records. It was the second straight meet for Austin in which he won both the 60 and 200 meters.

Junior Patrick Richards won the 400-meter dash. The junior All-American from a year ago set a meet record with a time of 47.80 seconds.

Junior Jeffery Herron took home first place with a high jump of 2.05 meters.

Iowa also won and set a meet record in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:12.65.

The Hawkeyes will compete next weekend at the UNI Open and Razorback Invitational.
