University of Iowa police arrested a man Monday for allegedly driving drunk.

Timothy Demuth, 30, Coralville, was charged with third-offense OWI.

According to police reports, an officer stopped Demuth for improper use of lane and failure to obey a traffic-control device.

Demuth reportedly had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and difficulty answering questions. He admitted to drinking and failed both breath tests, authorities said.

Third-offense OWI is a Class D felony, punishable by up to five years in prison and a maximum fine of $9,375.
