It uses replaceable cartridges the size of a cigarette filter that hold nicotine and flavoring, each worth about one pack of cigarettes. Because one filter contains as much nicotine as an entire pack, the blue light at the end of the e-cigarette blinks when the user has inhaled enough, to prevent overdose, Fischels said.
