Mims for City Council
Susan Mims is a strong, highly qualified candidate for our City Council.
I’ve known Susan and her husband, Fred, and their family for a long time. Based on her strategic thinking as an engineer and experience as a financial consultant, Susan is very thorough in making decisions and would be a valuable councilor for the city.
If elected, Susan has made clear that her top priorities will be public safety, city infrastructure, and fiscal responsibility. She is also anxious to promote increased coordination among governing bodies throughout the county, including the local School District.
Join me in casting a vote for Susan Mims for City Council on Nov. 3.

Shipley a creative thinker
I am so impressed with City Council at-large candidate Jeff Shipley’s understanding of the things Iowa City needs to continue making it a wonderful place to live. He brings a creative, fresh outlook to the needs of our town and would be an excellent representative for all residents of Iowa City — not just students. If elected, he would most likely attract a host of other creative-thinking colleagues to work to better our city. He doesn’t see problems; he sees challenges needing a creative solution.

Lundell Listens
We support John Lundell’s re-election to the Coralville City Council. He has invested himself in our community as a member of the library board, past member of the volunteer Fire Department, current city councilor, and leader in his church. John is a major reason for the success we have enjoyed in Coralville. There will be challenges ahead, and we need someone with knowledge, experience, and, most important of all, the ability to listen to constituents to help navigate the city’s future.
Please consider John Lundell when you are casting your votes for Coralville City Council.
