Editorial lacks common sense
Regarding Monday’s editorial (“Iowa should remain one of few states not requiring motorcycle helmets,” DI, July 6), “that hard plastic thing on my head” keeps me cool and safe on bicycle rides. And how much more true would that be if my head hit the pavement while I was riding a motorcycle, which goes a lot faster?
The subtitle on your editorial should read not just “Motorcycle deaths up,” but “Motorcycle deaths up; common sense down.”
