UI arts event was a treat
I'd like to thank the artists, faculty, staff, and crew members who made the May 1 ArtsFest event at the UI Studio Arts building such an enjoyable activity.
I took my sixth-grade daughter, and we found sufficient parking, helpful information, and some wonderful works of art. We thoroughly enjoyed viewing the paintings and photographs and visiting the costume shop. It will be a while before my daughter stops talking with delight about the clear sculpture of people holding a balloon that rose toward the high ceilings in the former Menards building.
Thank for you such an enjoyable Friday afternoon glimpse into the UI art programs. Well done, art students!
