Kehoe trial delayed

A Buchanan County judge granted a motion to delay the first-degree murder trial of Michelle Kehoe, the Coralville woman accused of killing one of her sons and injuring another, court records show.
The trial had been scheduled to begin March 18. A new date hasn’t been set. A hearing is set for April 14.

Kehoe, 35, is accused of killing Seth Kehoe, 2, and seriously injuring 7-year-old Sean Kehoe.
According to police reports, Michelle Kehoe and her sons were reported missing by her husband the evening of Oct. 26, 2008. The next day, she visited a Littleton, Iowa, residence and told the occupants her children were in danger, police said.

Later that morning, officers found Seth Kehoe dead and Sean Kehoe severely injured in the family’s minivan.

Kehoe was charged Nov. 15 with first-degree murder, attempted murder, and child endangerment causing serious injury.

She pleaded not guilty on Nov. 26.
